Loving Lately | The February Edit

I feel that this February there has been one word on everyone’s lips and that’s snow. I know it’s taken over almost the entire UK at the moment and it’s pretty much what small talk has consisted of for me over the last few weeks, however, I couldn’t help but mention it on my blog as well.

So, if you haven’t heard, its snowed.

Okay, so moving on to more exciting things I guess. February has been a great month for me. I feel like I’m finally getting things together with my blog a bit, I’ve got lots of ideas for new content and I’ve fallen in love with social media again (which I’m going to talk about more at a later date). I also went on a few little trips, which if you know me, doesn’t happen very often! I headed to London to see the Play That Goes Wrong and headed to Budapest for a verrrrry last minute break (we booked it two days before, which made me very nervous).

Anyway, on to what I’ve been loving this month…

What I’ve Been Watching

Okay, so in February, I’ve been watching a whole load of programs. First, I’m going to talk about my favourite program of all time – RuPaul’s Drag Race. All-Stars 3 has been on our screens since the end of January and my life has been taken over ever since. Anyone who knows me knows that I am obsessed with all things RuPaul Drag’s Race and I’m chuffed that the new series has started and on Comedy Central. After watching last night’s episode, I am shook and I’m really rooting for Shangela or Trixie to take the crown.

A few other reality TV programmes I can’t get enough of this month are Celebs Go Dating (who knew I’d fall in love with the kid in Stuart Little?!) and I can’t help but enjoy Survival of the Fittest. It’s not quite filled the Love Island void, but it’s done its job for the time being.

Finally, the last TV show that I’ve really been enjoying is The Good Place. I’m not quite sure how it’s taken me so long to get into it, but I definitely binge-watched both series in a couple of days. If you are looking for a new series to watch on Netflix then I’d definitely recommend.

Products I’ve Been Loving

There are just a few products that I felt deserved a spot on my February favourites this month. The first being the Rimmel’s Stay Matte Liquid Lipsticks. I love liquid lipsticks. There pretty much the only type of lipsticks that I buy nowadays, so I when I swatched the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick in Boots, I couldn’t help but grab a few colours and bring them home with me. I will be doing a full post about them soon, as I have quickly become obsessed with the formula and the gorgeous colours available.

Another product I’ve been loving is the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash. I love when skincare items are simple and this is as simple as they come – apply to the face and wash off. Its ideal and my skin is feeling so much better for it.

What I’ve Been Reading

Again, February hasn’t been one of my quickest reading months and I’ve managed to finish 3 books. My favourite read of this month has to be I Let You Go by Claire Mackintosh, it’s a perfect thriller to get stuck into. It’s gripping and eery with twists after twists. The other two books I’ve read is The Axeman Jazz by Ray Celestin and The Marriage Pact by Michelle Richmond. The Marriage Pact is new on the shelves and seriously creepy!
