L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask Review

One of my New Year resolutions was to put more effort into my skincare. I want to take better care of my skin, get into more of routine and just overall give my skin a little TLC. January seemed the best time to start.

One of the steps I took to improve my skincare routine was investing in a face mask. After seeing a few new face masks in the L’Oreal range and hearing about them pretty much everywhere, I knew I needed to pick one up.L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask.L’Oreal has five face masks on offer in the Pure Clay family, all with different benefits and uses. The five masks available are the Purity mask, Detox mask, Bright mask, Blemish Rescue mask and the one I’ve picked up, the Glow Mask.

L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask’s main aim is to brighten and exfoliate, which is what originally attracted me to the product. When it comes to the product itself, it’s a combination of three ‘pure clays’, all with different benefits.

The L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask is enriched with red algae extract which is known for its brightening properties and finely milled apricot seeds to gently exfoliate your skin and to give it a natural glow.

L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask. So, first impressions? The L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask is on sale for £7.99 from Boots and comes in a hefty 50ml tub. On the box, it does say that you get around 10 uses out of it, however, I think you can get a lot more. I’ve used this around 5 times already and I’m nowhere near halfway through, so I wouldn’t take the ’10 uses’ too seriously – unless you like to use a lot of product!

The face mask has a creamy texture, with the finely milled apricot seeds there to exfoliate your skin. Due to the creamy texture, it was so easy to apply. I use my hands to apply a thin layer, gently rubbing it into my skin, however, it’s just as easy to apply with a brush.

It takes around 10 to 15 minutes for the face mask to dry to reveal a duller red colour. What I liked about this mask is that it’s not uncomfortable. Yes, it does dry to the skin, however, you can still talk and move your face. To remove the mask, you just need hot water – it’s a no-fuss kind of product!L'Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask. When it comes to the overall results, there’s nothing else I can say than that I am so impressed! I picked this product to try to improve my skin, remove the dry skin on my t-zone and give my skin a healthier glow.

After one use, I noticed a difference. My skin was instantly smoother and softer, and the dry areas I’ve struggled with (especially around the January time) seemed better already. After a few more uses, I did start to get more compliments on my skin looking healthier and more glowy.

L’Oreal also claims that after a week of using, your pores should feel tighter and your skin texture should feel refined. Although I can’t vouch for that just yet, I do think my skin is heading in a positive direction. My skin feels so much better and healthier already and I can’t wait to see what it’ll be like after another week or so of using this product.

You can buy the L’Oreal Pure Clay Glow Mask from Superdrug here. Good news, it’s currently on sale for £5.99!
