How fast has this month gone?! I’m finding it hard to believe that we’re now in May and I can’t honestly tell you what I’ve been doing for a quarter of the year! It’s been a while since I’ve done a favourite post, longer than a year I think and I’ve missed doing them!
This month for me has been about starting my new job, celebrating my grans 80th birthday, having a little trip to Wales and insane weather – hail, snow, rain and sunshine all in the same day! But enough of the weather talk, here’s my April Favourites.
Hi, my name is Sammy, I’m 23 years old and I’ve just discovered MAC. I picked MAC’s ‘Sin’ and fell in love with the colour instantly, however I never took much notice of what other products that had available. When I went to Meadowhall with my mum recently, I noticed the huge MAC stand they had in Debenhams, I couldn’t help but have a little browse.
I’ve heard so many great things about MAC’s foundation that I knew I wanted to try something out and get colour matched. As I have quite dry skin, the sales assistant suggested that the Waterweight foundation is the foundation for me. This weightless foundation adds instant hydration, therefore it’s perfect for my skin. It’s a medium coverage foundation and is great for everyday wear – it has amazing longevity and matches my skin tone perfectly. I could go on about this foundation all day, it has various positives for me, but I’ll stop now.
Oh hey another MAC purchase making its way into my April Favourites. Many of you may recognise Velvet Teddy (a Kyle Jenner and beauty blogger favourite). I’ve been trying to resist this lipstick for a long time and trying to convince myself it’s just another nude lipstick. But no, it’s not just ‘another nude lipstick’. The colour is gorgeous and is perfect for any occasion. The formula is creamy and hydrating and has great staying power. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a nude lipstick.
Primark Makeup Bag
Primark is stepping up their game when it comes to homeware, make-up bags and accessories and I couldn’t help but pick up this little make-up bag. It’s a gorgeous turquoise colour with a cute silver ‘S’ on. I picked this up for when I’m travelling and in need of a bag to hold my make-up brushes. It’s a perfect size.
Myself and eating healthy has not something that has always gone hand in hand, but after hearing so much about Joe Wicks AKA The Body Coach I couldn’t help but pick up his latest cook book. As a vegetarian I was worried that there wouldn’t be much choice for me, however it’s really easy to sub some of the meat items for veggie options, which is amazing! All the meals are easy to make, have simple everyday ingredients, are healthy and are quick to make – perfect! We’ve attempted a couple of the recipes so far and they’ve been delicious! I may feature some on Samantha Jayne in the future…
What have you been loving this month?
