As a lover of dry shampoo and voluminous hair, seeing this little product sitting on the side in Boots got me excited. I’ve read many mixed reviews of Batiste’s Dry Shampoo and I have seen various posts stating their dislike of the product, but I’ve always been a big fan. My hair is quite fine, frizzy and flat and 80% of the time I am unhappy with my hair. I always try and give my hair a little bit of boost in the volume area and the fact that it is in dry shampoo is very exciting for me!
Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume claims to give you hair an instant refresh and ‘a quick burst revitalises hair removes excess grease and gives you ultimate volume, body and texture making any style no-fuss with no need to back-comb’. So did it do all these things? I think so. There’s no denying that the dry shampoo elements works like a dream to me. I constantly mess around and play with the roots of my hair during the day causing it to get greasy quickly and I love spraying a little bit on my roots to refresh it. Obviously you still get them annoying white marks, but they are easy to get rid off.
The volume aspect I’m not 100% on. There’s no denying it gives you hair a instant boost and I love the look it gives you afterwards, the problem is that it doesn’t last long. It’s not hairspray so throughout the day I find it looses a lot of it’s volume. However, I still am so impressed with the lift it gives your hair. I am also not a massive fan of the texture it leaves your hair feeling slightly matted and hard to brush through.
Overall, I really like Batiste Dry Shampoo XXL Volume, but I’m not blown away. I love the boost is gives my hair and the refreshed finish, but there are aspects I’m not a fan of, such as the feel it gives my hair afterwards.
Have you tried this or any other Batiste products before? What did you think?
